AUSTRALIA
- 1984 - 1993: Led Kangaroo Island trek from Cape Borda to Cape de Quediac.(7 days)
- Obtained scuba licence (F.A.U.I) and participated in diving expeditions nationwide.
- Led several treks through NSW national parks such as Kosciusko, Morton, Washpool, and Girraween. ( All treks more than 5 days in duration.)
- Led treks through remote parts of Mc Donald ranges, Mt.Giles and Olga Wilderness areas of the Australian interior.
- Extensive cross-country skiing ,snow camping and ice climbing during four winter seasons in Kosciousko National park.
- Taught Kayaking and canoeing for two summer seasons on the Murrembidgee river. (NSW).
- Managed small nature reserve Ginninderra Falls from 1987 to 1990.
- Trekked extensively in Tasmania (Western and Eastern Arthur's, Overland, Mt.Anne and Frecinet Peninsula.( all treks longer than 7 days in duration).
- Kayaked Georges river.( 5 days).
- Rock-climbed to leading grade 23 in all Australian states.
- Worked as a climbing instructor on weekends in 1989.
- Sea kayaked Tasmania's coast on 4 day trip.
- 1993: Climbed multi day aid route "Ozymandias" (M5 aid) at Mt.Buffalo.
NEW ZEALAND
- 1991: Completed technical mountaineering course with alpine guides. (10 days).
- Climbed numerous alpine peaks including: Mt. Dixon.(2+), Silberhorn (S-horn ridge 3) Mt.Tasman (via Silberhorn 3+), Peak 9914 (2), Hotchetter Dome (2), Almer (1) and Augille Rouge (3).Two friends killed in avalanche.
- 1992: climbed numerous alpine peaks including: The Footstool (3),Mt.Massey ( 2) Mt.Seally (2),and Mt.Cook via Porters Col route (3+). Attempted Mt.Cook via Earl ridge (4) but descended due to storm 150m.from the high peak.
- 1994: climbed numerous alpine peaks including: Mt. Wakefield (1), Footstool (3) Madonna peak (2), Lean Peak (1), Mt.Hadinger (west face3+) Mt.Lendenfield, via the normal route (2+) and Peter Hillary route (4) Mt.Tasman via the Heemskirk face (5). Attempted Mt.Cook south face (5) and Malte Brun (3+) but descended due to poor weather.
- Crossed Copland Pass in winter (solo).
- Trekked around Steward Island,18 days solo.
- 2000:Taught alpine skills course at Mt.Cook national park.
- Attempted Mt.Cook via the N.W Couloir (3), Linda Glacier (3) and Porters Col route(3) with client but descended due to bad conditions and high objective danger.
ASIA
- 1993 Pakistan: led expedition to Karakoram. Climbed from Ghondogoro glacier: Peak 5800 (AD), Ghondogoro Peak ( 6000m) and an unnamed 6310m Peak. west face (AD+). All routes multi-day alpine style.
- Led trek up Batura glacier. Karakoram. (8 days).
- 2004 Vietnam: Worked as a bicycle guide on two separate bike challenges from Saigon to Hanoi (6 days, 39clients).
- 2005 Nepal: Guided 8 clients on Mera peak. (6476m.)
- Attempted Himal Kanguru (6468m, AD- ) from Hinku valley but stopped 200m below north summit due to un-stable serac barrier. Solo
AFRICA
- 1992 Kenya:Guided one client on Mount Kenya, Mc.Kinders route (5200m. 4+).
- Climbed Pt.Lenana (4985m), Pt. Thomson (4955m. 3), and Pt. Meluish (4880m. 3). Mount Kenya national park.
- Climbed Mt.Sekker (3400m.), Koh (3000m, 3) and Mt.Sondhang (3100m). Cherrangani mountains west Kenya.
- Trekked remote west shore of lake Turkana to Ethiopia border (10 days).
- 1993: Climbed Mount Kenya, North-Face route (5200m. 5).
- Guided Pt.Lenana (4985m.) on 6 separate ascents. Mount Kenya national park.
- Led trek through Matthew range and crossed Chalbi desert (17 days). North Kenya.
- 1998: Climbed Mount Longonaut (2800m,volcano).
- Climbed Lonely Peak (1800m, 5- ). Shaba national park.
- Explored Matthew Ranges and climbed numerous peaks ( 4 weeks, 2500m.+).North Kenya.
- Lived with remote Samburu communities (2 months) and studied tribal customs and partaking in local ceremonies.
- 2002: Guided on Pt.Lenana (4985m) group of 16 clients. Sirimon route. Mt.Kenya N.P.
- 2005: Guided on Pt.Lenana (4985m.) group of 6 clients. Chogoria route variant.
- 1992 Uganda: Trekked solo through Ruwenzori Mountains. (5 days.).
- Trekked cross country through Kabalega National Park to Murchison Falls (9 days,Solo).
- 1994 Tanzania: Attempted to paddle the previously un-paddled Ifakara River (tributary of the Rufuji river) in the Selous National Park. - Unsuccessful due to hippopotamus attack.
- 2002: Guided on Killimanjaro (5895m.). Lemosho Route. The same clients as on the 2002 Mt. Kenya expedition.
- 2004 and 2005: Guided on Kilimanjaro(5895m.). Machembe route. Three expeditions. Total 39 clients. Guided 24 clients on two separate expeditions on the Western Breach route.
- 2005: Guided two separate ascents of Meru Peak ( 4656m.). 24 clients.
- 1992 Malawi: Led 2-week trek through Mulanje Massive. Climbed Sawpitwa (3000m) and climbed Chinzama (west face. 3, solo)
- Paddled using local dugout canoe 170 kms. along northwest shore of Lake Malawi.
- 1994: Climbed East face of Mt. Chambe. (5) Mulanje Massive.
- 2005: Worked as a bicycle guide and cycled from Lilongwe to Mzuzu (500kms) with 36 clients.
- 1994 Mozambique: Led 330 kms. trek along remote north coast of Mozambique. From Isla de Mozambique to the Tanzania borders. (11 days.)
- 1994 Zimbabwe: Led two separate 5-day treks through little visited parts of the Chimani-mani Mountains.
- 1995: Led trek through the Chimnani-mani range into Mozambique and climbed the rarely climbed '5th range'.(6 days)
- 1994 Zaire: Paddled using local dugout canoes 1100 kms of the Congo and Mawimi rivers. (6 weeks).
- Walked most of the route from Beni to kisingani. (600 kms. 1 month.)
- 1997 Eritrea: Explored mountain area (2000m peaks) of Keren region.(8 days).
- 1997 Ethiopia: Trekked along course of Blue Nile (110 kms 3 days).
- 1998: Trekked along course of Bako River (140 kms. Western Ethiopia.1 week)
- Trekked along course of the remote Omo River (southern Ethiopia) to Lake Turkana (north Kenya, 1 week).
- Lived with remote Hammar communities and studied tribal traditions. (3 weeks.)
- 2004 Morocco: Guided on two Sahara desert treks. (8 days each trek ).
Sinai Peninsula - Egypt
- 1997: Obtained professional scuba diver qualifications (PADI Dive-master) and logged over 420 dives.
- Worked as a professional diver and logged over 300 working dives. (Guiding day dives, check- dives, night dives, boat, safaris, and rescue dives).
- Dived extensively in Dahab area as well as leading safari dives to Ras Mohamad, the Straits of Tiran, Gabr el Bint and various other sites in the Red Sea.
- Logged over sixty deep dives (65m+) and sets a personal deep diving record of 102m on compressed air.
- 2000/1: Started up Sinai's first and only rock climbing school and taught 97 people climbing safety, use off equipment and rock climbing techniques.
- Guided clients on various climbing safaris to Wadi's Quanai, Connection, and Kidd.
- Established several first ascents at Wadi Kidd. (Graded up to F5+)
- On-sights routes in the Sinai up to grade F6b+, hardest routes climbed (Led) were graded F7a.
SOUTH AMERICA
- 1995 Brazil: Paddled using a local boat 1100 kms of the Rio Madeira in Brazil (Amazon). 4 weeks. Expedition sponsored by Australian Geographic Society.
- 1995 Bolivia:Guided Camino del Oro trek (alpine and forest).5 days. 2 clients.
- Led Yunga Cruz trek (alpine and cloud forest) three days.
- Paddled using local dugout canoe the Rio Beni. Solo, 600 kms (Amazon Basin).
- 1996: Climbed Pico Shultze (5943m. AD) southeast face route (variant).
- Attempted Illampu (6368m. D) but descended from 6100m. due to bad weather and un-stable sow conditions. Southwest ridge route.
- Guided Illimani (6440m. grade PD) via 'Nido de Condoros' route with one client.
- Climbed Ancohuma (6427m. AD) via west face. descended from a new route, (D+) 6100 m on north ridge due to illness one week later.
- Guided for eight months in mountains near Sorata village.23 clients 6 treks.
- Trekked through very remote Cocoyo region of alto Plano (6 days).
- Trekked through remote Noel Kempf Mercardo rainforests. (Amazon Basin. 8 days).
- Led various jungle treks including the Mapiri trail (7 days) and Choro trail (5 days).
- Paddled using local dugout canoes the Rio Mammore for 1500 kms. Also many tributary rivers. (Bolivia's Amazon Basin. 5 weeks)
- Paddled using local dugout canoes the Rio Paraguay, Rio Itenez and Rio Mammore for 1700 kms (Bolivia's and Brazil's border Amazon Basin. 6 weeks).
- 1995 Argentinia:Climbed Aconcagua (6960m. F solo) via normal route. Descended from 6450.m on the "Direct-Polish Glacier route" ( AD solo), due to bad weather two weeks previously.
- Climbed Pico Bonete (4950m. F) from Plaza de mulas base camp.
- Climbed Pico Ameghino (5860 m. PD+.) solo from "Polish Gl. Route".
- Climbed Tupungato (6550m. PD) via west ridge.
- 1996:Climbed Mercedario (6770m. AD solo) via northeast ridge.
- Climbed Mercedario Sud (6210 m. D ) northeast face.
- Climbed La Plata (5955m. PD. normal route).
- Rock climbed 14 routes at Los Arenales up to grade 6a+ (multi pitch). 3000m rock spires.
- 2003 Ecuador:Amazon basin. Recognisance expedition. Set up multi activity program. Ecuador orient. 2 weeks.
- Worked as a rainforest guide on 2 separate 10-day multi activity expeditions.
- 1995 Chile:Cycled 500 kms. across Atacama Desert. (10 days.)
- 2000 Peru:Taught 3 alpine skills courses and ice climbing at Pico Pastoruri (5240m. F) 16 clients.
- Guided on Pisco Oeste (5752m. S.W ridge. PD+) on two occasions with 5 and 3 clients.
- Guided on Pukaraju (5346m. Sth face. PD) with one client.
- Guided on Alpamayo (5947m. Ferrari route. AD/D) with two clients.
- Guided on Shaqsha (5703m. N.W. slope. AD) with one client but descended due to avalanche danger at 5450m.
- Attempted Shaqsha South ridge, ( PD+) in one day from Hauraz but descended due to a bad storm at 5520m.
- Guided on Huascaran Norte (6655m. South ridge. AD) with 2 clients. Descended from 6200m due to avalanche danger.
- Attempted Huascaran Sur (6768m. "Garganta route". PD solo). Reached 6255m descended due to developing storm and high winds.
- Climbed Bayo/Haupi (5415m. S.W ridge. PD) in one day from Huaraz.
- Attempted Copa (6188m. S.E face. AD/D) descended from 5900m due to partner getting altitude sickness.
- Attempted Huandoy (6395m. N.E face. D+) were forced to retreat at 5690m due to unstable snow and avalanche danger.
- Guided Santa Cruz trek. (4750m) with two clients. (4 days.)
- Guided the Rio's Perene and Tambo (400 km S.E Peru) using balsa rafts, local dug- out canoes and motorised boats, with four clients. (2 weeks).
- 2003 to 2005:Guided on the Inca trail on 7 occasions. 134 clients.
CENTRAL AMERICA
- 2003 Panama: Recognisance expedition . Found route to link Pacific Ocean with Caribbean Sea. Coast to coast walk. San Blas region. Jungle walk. (14 days.)
- 2003 Nicaragua: Guided on a month long multi activity expedition. Climbed Volcan Madeira (1394m), San Juan peak (865m), Selva Negra peak (1457m) and a sub-peak of Mogodon (2438m). Also horse riding and jungle trekking.
- 2003 Honduras: Worked as a dive-master on Utila Island. 9 dives. .
- 2005 Costa Rica: Guided on 9 day long jungle/volcano trek. 10 clients.
EUROPE
- 1998 England: Dartmoor National Park- Rock climbing leading to grade E1.
- 2002: worked over summer as an outdoor instructor for various adventure companies teaching team building, camp-craft, rock-climbing and raft building as well as preparing groups for overseas expeditions.
- Rock-climbing to grade HVS (leading) on Dartmoor, Devon. Cornwall, Wales and the Peak district.
- 2003: Rock-climbing to grade E1 (leading).
- Awarded Mountain leader award and Single Pitch climbing instructor award.
- 2001 Scotland: Glencoe-climbed: "Crowberry gully" ( 4). Ben Nevis: climbed "Moon gully buttress"( 3), "Italian climb"( 4), and "Tower ridge"( 3)
- 2001 Iceland: Sails as crewmember on traditionally gaff rigged yacht to Reykjavik.(2 weeks).
- Attempted to climb Hvanadalshnukur (2119m.) via a route from the Skaftafellsjokull glacier (AD) but retreated from 1550m due to extreme avalanche hazards and inexperience of some members in the party.
- 2005:Guided on three separate 6 day treks in the central highlands. 112 clients.
- 2002 Switzerland: Attempted Eiger (3940m. Mittelidge ridge. AD), but retreated at 3750m. due to severe weather.
- 2004: Awarded the International Mountain Leader Award. U.I.M.L.A
- 2003 France - Pyrenees. Guided ascents on Peak Baum (3194m), Maupa peak (3091m), Spejoiles peak (3200m) and Gordoun peak (3094m). For 3 weeks.18 clients in total.
- 2004: Guided 7 different groups on Haute Route, climbing 16 separate peaks including Aneto (3404m. F, six times.) Total 56 clients
- Climbed Vigemale ( North face direct route. TD )
- Rock climbing (leading) to grade 6c French.
- 2005: Ice climbing solo to grade 4. First ascent of 70m. Grade 5 ice route.
- Guided one client on Aneto (3404m F )
- Worked as a climbing instructor on several multi-day climbing courses.
- Rock climbing (leading) to grade 6c French.
GREENLAND
- 2001: Scorcesby sound, Liverpool land and Jameson's land. Climbing expedition. Total of 6 peaks climbed. Team retreated from one peak.
- Climbed Kaempehojen ( 1200m. New route. South-east face. AD+).
- Climbed Pk.1180m. (South Ridge. F).
- Climbed Tvillingerne (1430m. "Colouir route". South-east face. AD).
